Ellissa specialises in instructing beginner to intermediate levels of pilates as a means to help clients improve posture, relax, condition the body and increase mobility from injury.
Ellissa has completed the internationally recognised Studio Pilates Courses including: Anatomy; Studio Matwork Instructor; Small Equipment - Band, Ball and Circle; Pilates for Back Pain; Reformer and is an ongoing member of the Enhanced Instructor Program.
Ellissa has also completed the Australian Fitness Academy Gym Instructor Certificate III course and is a registered Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia.
Mountains Pilates is a registered sole-trader business with Fitness Australia.
Rehabilitating from spine surgery* in 2010 and 2017, Ellissa experiences first-hand the benefits of incorporating pilates mind and body practice into her weekly schedule. * Anterior Cervical Decompression and Fusion (inter-vertebral disc replacement at C5/C6/C7 with metal plate fusion) and bone graft fusion at L4/L5.
Jo Specialises in instructing beginner to intermediate levels of pilates.
She has completed the internationally recognised Studio Pilates Anatomy and Matwork Instructor courses and has accrued 18 months of pilates experience.
With past experience of five years facilitating a gentle exercise program, Jo brings a wealth of knowledge which encompasses working with people at all levels of fitness, encouraging and supporting them to achieve their fitness goals.
Physical exercise has always been an important part of Jo's everyday life and includes activities such as yoga, bush walking, kayaking and mountain bike riding.
