Ellissa specialises in instructing all levels of pilates as a means to help clients improve posture, relax, condition the body and increase mobility from injury.
Ellissa completed the nationally accredited Certificate IV in Pilates (Classical) and the Studio Pilates International (Contemporary) Courses including: Anatomy; Studio Matwork Instructor; Small Equipment - Band, Ball and Circle; Pilates for Back Pain; Reformer and Pilates for Pregnancy.
She is Australian Fitness Academy certified Gym Instructor and is a registered Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia. Mountains Pilates is a registered sole-trader business with Fitness Australia.
She earned a Master of Contemporary Arts from the University of Tasmania for establishing the Tasmanian Creartive Arts Summer School and is a registered Justice of the Peace with the NSW Attorney General's Department.
Ellissa also owns and manages Coast Pilates Retreats, a new venture offering Pilates getaways for pilates holiday enthusiasts that like to mix movement with time for relaxation.
Rehabilitating from spine surgery* in 2010 and 2017, Ellissa experiences first-hand the benefits of incorporating pilates mind and body practice into her weekly schedule. * Anterior Cervical Decompression and Fusion (inter-vertebral disc replacement at C5/C6/C7 with metal plate fusion) and bone graft metal plate fusion at L4/L5.
Jo Specialises in instructing beginner to intermediate levels of pilates.
She has completed the internationally recognised Studio Pilates Anatomy, Matwork and Small Equipment Instructor courses and has accrued over 2 years of pilates experience.
With past experience of five years facilitating a gentle exercise program, Jo brings a wealth of knowledge which encompasses working with people at all levels of fitness, encouraging and supporting them to achieve their fitness goals.
Physical exercise has always been an important part of Jo's everyday life and includes activities such as yoga, bush walking, kayaking and mountain bike riding.
