Gentle Pilates for Beginners and Back Pain

Level: Beginners
Equipment: A Pilates/Yoga Mat or comfortable carpet/rug to lie on 
Suitable: Beginners

​Duration: 45 minutes

This workout is a gentle introduction to pilates for beginners and people with back pain. It can be used as a gentle reset to connect your mind back to your breathe and body. You will be introduced to stretching and strengthening exercises that form the foundation for your personal pilates practice.

New Client Pre-requisite:  If you are not an existing client please complete the Adult Pre-Exercise screening form. If you tick yes to any item you will need to have clearance from your GP and Mountains Pilates prior to commencing these online classes and arrange to have a pre-screening virtual session with me. Please email your completed form to enquiries@mountainspilates.com

Your health & safety

Precautions: Please ensure you have approval from your GP before beginning any new exercise program.  If you experience pain while exercising please see your GP or Physiotherapist.

  • You will require a suitable, non-slip floor space is required and any potential obstructions in the vicinity are removed before you participate;
  • Please avoid activities if you have, or suspect you may have any current health concerns, injuries, aches and pains;
  • You must avoid the use of blades, weapons or sharp instruments of any description;
  • Avoid physical contact with other participants and where appropriate, adhere to social distancing guidelines.
